Bruce Springsteen and THE Guitar Solo

Bruce Springsteen – Prove It All Night (Live)

There are many great guitar solos out there, but my favorite one has to be Bruce Springsteen’s solo on Prove It All Night (Live) from the Darkness On The Edge Of Town tour (1978). Yes! It has to be a live version, as a studio version doesn’t have the same extended intro.

It may not be the most technical guitar solo, or the fastest…but oh, boy…This one is all about pure passion. You can hear and feel all the small bends that Bruce does with his guitar. Every great guitar player has their own sound, and Bruce has it with his legendary Fender Esquire. Sound that my father describe as a circular saw… in a good way.

Bruce sings like his life is on the line… That’s why the Darkness tour was so great. Too bad that the guitar solo was only played on 1978 tour. Bruce Springsteen fans has hoped to hear the solo again since then….

Badlands admin is a huge Bruce Springsteen (obviously) and a music fan from Finland.. Avid coffee drinker. Every blog post requires plenty of coffee. What else…Oh. I wrote a book called “How Bruce Springsteen’s Music Saved My Life: The Story of a Bullied Boy“. It’s available on major eBook stores like Amazon Kindle, Google Play, iTunes…
