It’s been a while since the last iHerb review blog post. I have ordered many products since the last update, and I try to make these reviews more regularly for now on.

Nescafé, Taster’s Choice, 100% Colombian, Instant Coffee, 20 Packets, 0.07 oz (2 g) Each

I have reviewed many different instant coffees in this year. This is pretty average coffee. Smell of this coffee is delicious, but the taste is bit too mild, and could be more “fresh”. Price is pretty good. For some reason I managed to order two packages of this coffee. Oh well, gotta give that extra one to someone.

Twinlab, Biotin Dots, Mixed Berry Flavor, 3000 mcg, 60 Tablets

Twinlab provides high quality products, but title of this “Biotin dots” supplement is bit misleading, as it says potency of 3000 mcg. One tablet is 1500 mcg, and with serving size of two tablets, you get the 3000 mcg. It’s pretty hard to recommend this product, as there are other chewable biotin products with cheaper price available at iHerb. Tablets taste like berry and are like candies. Too bad that the serving size is a no go for me. Biotin is good for nails and hair health.

Ricola, Breath Mints, Sugar Free, Peppermint, .88 oz (25 g)

I rarely use breath mints, and I though I’d order one for review purposes. I didn’t know that iHerb sells products that has aspartame. I was wrong. I don’t think natural health stores should sell products like this. Yes, these are pretty good tasting peppermint breath mints, and they freshen up your breath. If you wish to find something more natural, look elsewhere. Supermarkets are for these kind of products.

Special, Magnesium, The Missing Link to Better Health, 32 Pages

iHerb’s freebie section has plenty of free books to choose from. I’d give this 5 stars if this would tell more about the various magnesium forms (citrate, malate etc.), and wouldn’t have any product promotion. Book gives nice info about the health benefits of magnesium. I’ve known about the magnesium health benefits for a long time, and yet this book managed to give more answers. Pretty happy with this book. Overall it’s one of the better free things you can pick up from the freebie section.

Source Naturals, Chem Defense, Peppermint Flavored, 10 Tablets

These taste pretty bad (very strong artificial peppermint taste), I couldn’t keep these under the tongue for a long time. I didn’t notice any health benefits after taking these tablets. I’d look something else from the iHerb’s freebie section. Good thing that iherb has these free samples. Some items got sold out or discontinued pretty quickly.

Special, Sinus Health, Breathe Easy the Natural Way, 32 Page Paperback Booklet is one of the better free “books” that iHerb has to offer. Too bad that there is plenty of Xlear product promotion in this book, but the book is still worth reading. Info about Xylitol too.

This is a Bruce Springsteen fan blog, giving concert details of each show. Would I sell it to $10,576? I doubt it. Lowest value $3! What kind of lunatic would sell their website for three dollars?

Website #2 Pusabase.com – About 4 000 monthly visitors – Pagerank 2

Lowest value: $37
Highest value: $50,550

This domain. Another fansite (The Presidents of the USA, you know the rock band from Seattle), Site has two separate blogs (one for “personal” use, and one for band news). There’s just something wrong with the statistics that these website calculators give. Mostly because they rely high on Alexa site. Alexa site ranking is based on how many I have installed Alexa toolbar and visited my site, and has pretty much nothing to do with real amount of visitors that the websites get. Would I sell this site for $50,550? Hell yes! I’d move to the country with that kind of money.

There are own calculators for youtube/twitter/facebook accounts, and I’m gonna check them out later.

Currently there aren’t too many good phones that can record both great audio & video.  Nokia is so far the current leader with their HAAC microphone technology, HTC One (2013) is currently the only phone fighting against Nokia Lumia series 620/720/810/820/822/920/928 and Nokia PureView 808.

Problem with other phones like iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC 8x etc, is that they have poor microphones. Phones mentioned earlier has built-in HAAC microphones (High Amplitude Audio Capture microphone) that can record distortion free audio (tolerate sound pressure up to 140dB!) giving distortion free recordings (with bass) pretty much in any live concert situation.

HTC One (2013) – Bruce Springsteen – The River (Turku – Live)

This space is reserved for the HTC One phone. Apparently they have used Nokia HAAC microphones without permission. Now some models comes with the built-in HAAC mic, but the never batch has different microphones? More about this when the whole situation is more clear.

Madre Labs is one of those brands I usually test, when there is a sale going on. “CocoCardio” happened to be on sale, and it’s currently priced for only $2.95 (normally it’s about $13,95?). I’ve seen plenty of iHerb regulars advertising CocoCardio and Cafeceps for newbiews, and that is mostly because of Iherb offering higher commission from iHerb products to them. Anyways, back to the product:

When there is a “warning” that the Cococardio may not taste the best without extra sweetener, that should ring some bells. I doubt there is anyone who like this product unsweetened. CocoCardio is way too bitter, and it taste like a mix of cocoa and berry juice. Powder doesn’t mix in well, and color isn’t the most tempting. I didn’t like the taste either. With $2.95 it’s hard to suggest this product to anyone. Maybe if you want the health benefits of it. You could try to mix this with smoothies and such. Good thing that iHerb has these sales, so the poor folks like me can try various health products.

If you are bouncing between this and CafeCeps (Cordyceps & Reishi coffee), I’d go with CafeCeps instead.

It’s easy to lose weight. Just exercise more, and eat less. But sometimes that simple doesn’t cut it. Good thing that there are plenty of supplements that supports healthy weight loss. I’m happy to try any fat burning and weight loss products.

1. CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) – Pure Tonalin

This doesn’t really lose weight, but it does a nice job burning fat. This is a pretty high potency CLA. I do exercise and eat healthy , but the weight has been the same. Within just a month I have lost two inches around my waist. I take one CLA tablet before each bigger meal (2-3 tablets per day) , and that seems to do the trick.

For some people CLA is very effective, when it comes to losing fat. Just remember that muscle weights more than fat.

Green Tea or more precisely EGCG is very effective fat burner (Increases termogenesis). I sweat a lot when I exercise, but with EGCG I sweat even more. I-herb has a nice selection EGCG products. Once again. See how much EGCG each tablet contains, and remember to check out the serving size. (If you are after a good price & quality ratio)

3. African Mango, Raspberry Ketones, Mulberry

I have tried Raspberry Ketones, and Mulberry separately, but I haven’t found them really effective. I’ve been however been very happy with the Natrol’s “Tropical Thin” product. It has plenty of ingredients that should support weight and fat loss. It’s priced fairly too.

This is the first time I have tried Reishi Tea. I’m a big fan of Reishi Coffee (and Longreen corporations Reishi coffee is my current favourite instant coffee). Reishi mushroom (Lucid Ganoderma) is good for liver (detoxifying, tonifying), and good for immune support.

How about this tea, is it any good? I usually drink tea and coffee purely for the taste, and this is not a good tasting tea. There’s just too many different ingredients added (Astragalus seed, Schizandra, Isatis Root, Wolfberry Leaf, Tender Green Tea Leaf and Jasmine Flower). I will continue to drink Reishi coffee, if I want the health benefits of reishi mushroom.
