I’m not a vegan, but I do replace meat with soy sometimes. When spiced properly, you can’t really tell a difference. Can a carnivore get fooled with a meatless vegan jerky. That’s the question! I bought three different Louisville Vegan Jerky Co products to test that out.

Louisville Vegan Jerky Co, Vegan Jerky, Todd’s Bourbon Smoked Chipotle, 2.5 oz (70.87 g)

From first bite you can’t tell a difference! This surely taste like a real Jerky, made out of a real meat. Texture is Jerky-like. Out of the three I liked taste of this smoked chipotle the most. Although there just too much salt.

Louisville Vegan Jerky Co, Vegan Jerky, Pete’s Bourbon Smoked, Black Pepper, Mild, 2.5 oz (70.87 g)

There’s about the same amount of salt on each product, but this taste less salty compared to other two. Black pepper version is good jerky with no surprises.

Louisville Vegan Jerky Co, Sriracha Maple, 2.5 oz (70.87 g)

This is a solid mix of spices. Not too hot. Once again just a hint of too much salt. Otherwise just a fine product.

Conclusion:

Yes, you can fool a carnivore. Louisville Vegan Jerky co makes a killer Vegan jerky. There could be a little less salt, and the prices could be little lower, as soy is much more cheaper than meat. I don’t know, if there’s competition on vegan jerky business, but I’m curious to try more meatless jerky products.

Packages are nice, and the story about the company is a good read. Ex-carnivore looking for a jerky fix? It’s easy to recommend these products. One of the iHerb favorites from 2016!

I give all three a score of:

4/5

Iherb Coupon:

New Iherb customer gets a 5 dollar discount from their first order with a discount coupon code YUY952 (or via this link).

Want to know more about coupons?: Check out the iherb discount coupon page.

This page has affiliate links, but the reviews are 100% my own.

Louisville Vegan Jerky Co – Vegan Jerky Reviews (purchased from iHerb) Let’s do a little more interesting protein snack review this time.
