New song Tumble Down is available for download at Caspar Babypants website. It’s more bluesy than most of the Caspar Babypants tunes. Maybe a bit too much reverb on vocals. I like my blues dry & raw… Oh yes, target audience might a bit different.
Album news:
Taken from Caspar Babypant’s Facebook post:
hoping to REALLY start tracking for the new record this week! FINALLY! it will be called THIS IS FUN! and I hope it will be out in october…
107.9 THE ALTERNATIVE live at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip. Dennis Huff and Gonzo interview the Presidents of the United States of America. February 18, 2010.
This is a special little DOWNLOAD ONLY album of songs for the VERY young and their parents. I made it for PEPS groups to use at their parent circles. PEPS educates parents and invites them to share resources and gain knowledge about parenting and their babies through group discussion. They use this album at the beginning of meetings to sing along with each other and their children! ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF THIS DOWNLOAD ONLY ALBUM WILL GO TO PEPS! That is why it is a little more to buy than other albums here on the site. Its a GREAT cause so…SING A LONG!
Many of the tracks are from this PEPS release:
which you can get pretty cheap from used & new section.
The Presidents still play concerts from time to time (including two recent appearances at the Napavine Amphitheater), but don’t plan on any more albums. Instead, Ballew, 44 and living in Seattle, is following his heart, which brought him to Caspar Babypants.
- Nice amount of new shows added. Starting from 1993! posters, tickets, photos, setlists, details… Some bandography updates, and couple of new articles added to media section. Oh and ASCII pusabase text from frontpage had to leave. Some search engines does not like it. Gotta find something else to spice the frontpage up.
Next week it’s time to add 50 PUSA shows i didn’t know much about. I gotta quote the Dude here: “new shit has come to light”. I have some details alright, but need to do some serious Googling…
Great two song semi-acoustic performance. Chris plays an electric basitar, and Andrew plays an acoustic guitbass… sound mix is pretty bad. Let’s not talk about the audience (never seen such a hostile group in my life. I was 99% sure that the bottles and rocks would start to fly…) Oh, and Jason makes and appearance too…
There are tons of other performances from other bands too. Too bad the site sucks donkey balls, and it’s superslow. One of the reasons why pusabase is such a light site (let’s not talk about my limited html-skill. I do most of the stuff using notepad anyway. Best tool that Microsoft has ever released)
Official Live Tracks Guide is finally ready. Still couple of compilations missing details…which i finally ordered from amazon.com (used & new section is better than ebay btw).
Lyrics sections is also in much better shape, and now i can focus on adding more lyrics. If you have any missing lyrics, feel free to send them.
About 50+ shows got details edited once again. dozens of new posters, tickets, photo links, setlists, other bands…and I managed to find couple of missing shows too. Next week I’m gonna add dozen or two new shows. I worked full days with the site this week, and i think it pays up.
Oh! And there might be something extremely rare and special PUSA material coming up later this year. I got my hopes high on that one, and i really hope it goes through, so I can tell the story…
Was the whole concert recorded for television? I don’t know, but i did send an email. Let’s see if i get any reply (I send out dozens of emails every month while doing research for pusabase.com, and trust me, the reply percentage is very low).
