iHerb review – Epic Bar – Meat Bites
Chicken Meat, Currant & Sesame BBQ Seasoning, Bites, 2.50 oz (71 g)
If blindfolded, i couldn’t tell if I was eating a chicken or a red meat. Taste is sweet but spicy. It’s not too spicy though, but it’s just a little tiny bit too sweet for my taste. Overall I liked this a lot. Really tender meat, and it’s really hard to stop eating these little meat bites. Well sealed and informative package (this same goes with other products from the same company).
Score: 4/5
Bison Meat, Uncured Bacon, Chia & Raisins, Bites, 2.5 oz (71 g)
Really really tender meat. Almost melts in your mouth. Really good savory taste with some smoky flavor added. It was nearly impossible to stop eating these, and leave something for the next day. I think this was a first time I was eating bison meat (damn carnivore in me).
Score: 4/5
Beef Steak with Cranberry & Sriracha, 2.5 oz (71 g)
Too much spices. This was just OK. Texture wasn’t as good as Bison or Chicken versions.
Score: 3/5
Bison Meat, Uncured Bacon, Pork & Sea Salt, Bites, 2.5 oz (71 g)
If you can’t tell which meat you are eating with the chicken version. You can instantly tell with Bacon/pork one, that you are eating pork. Smoky and salty taste. There’s just way too much salt used. Pretty much ruined the whole snack. Out of four I’ve tested this was my least favorite.
Score: 2/5
Overall/Conclusion:
I was pretty happy with the Epic Bar’s meat bites. This was the first time I have heard about the company. Really nice informative packages. For the international customers the prices can be a little high.
